  • Clean BC
Overview of the CleanBC Go Electric Medium and Heavy-Duty Public Charger Program program:

This program offers rebates to businesses, local governments, Indigenous communities, and other eligible entities for installing public charging stations for medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles (MHD EVs). The program’s goals include reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting clean energy use, and establishing strategically located charging stations accessible 24/7 for MHD fleets. The initiative prioritizes high-use locations and aims to accommodate Class 6 vehicles or larger, with all chargers meeting specific technical and accessibility standards. The funding tiers cover up to 50% of project costs, based on charger output, and applicants must commit to maintaining operational chargers for a minimum of five years.

Benefits of the CleanBC Go Electric Medium and Heavy-Duty Public Charger Program program:
  • The program provides financial incentives for the development of charging infrastructure, supporting MHD fleet operators and other eligible entities in transitioning to ZEVs. By covering substantial project costs, the program encourages the use of electric charging networks and addresses critical gaps in EV infrastructure across the province.
