The Energy Storage and Minerals Program by Alberta Innovates is designed to support innovative projects in the energy sector, particularly focusing on energy storage technologies and critical mineral development. Eligibility criteria of the Critical Minerals and Emerging Tech program:
  • Applicants: The program is open to Alberta-based companies, research organizations, industry associations, and other entities involved in the development and deployment of clean technologies.
  • Projects: Eligible projects must align with the programs focus areas and demonstrate potential economic, environmental, and social benefits for Alberta. Projects should also have a clear pathway to commercialization or implementation.
