The CBDC Social Enterprise Loan is designed to support social enterprises in rural Atlantic Canada. It provides funding for both new and existing businesses that operate seasonally or year-round. The loan can be used for start-up costs, expansion, renovation, or upgrades. Eligible businesses must demonstrate economic viability, sound business practices, and contribute to job creation and maintenance in their communities.

Benefits of the CBDC Social Enterprise Loan program:
  • The CBDC offers loans of up to $150,000* per eligible applicant. (Loans are repayable with competitive interest rates and repayment terms).

  • Type: Can operate seasonally or year-round.
  • Location: Must be in rural areas of Atlantic Canada.
