Ecoemballage+ Component 1: Business Support

Overview of the Ecoemballage+ Component 1: Business Support program:

Ecoemballage+ Component 1: Business Support aims to implement projects that bring together several companies to meet their needs for eco-design services for recyclable packaging and food containers. This also aims to realize individual projects of companies wishing to meet their service needs in eco-design of a range of recyclable packaging and food containers.

Benefits of the Ecoemballage+ Component 1: Business Support program:

• The maximum financial assistance per project and per company is $50,000 for projects aimed at eco-designing packaging or food containers. The financial assistance granted cannot exceed 75% of eligible expenses.

Eligibility criteria of the Ecoemballage+ Component 1: Business Support program:

• To qualify for this funding, the following criteria must be met:
• Eligible companies are for-profit companies or social economy companies that fall into one of the following categories:
  • Beverage companies and companies engaged in food processing activities: (including companies that carry out preparation, packaging and preservation;
  • Companies that use flat-rate or outsource food processing, including companies with private labels;
  • Companies that have a central kitchen.
  • Have at least one commercial establishment or branch located in Quebec;
  • Carry out in Quebec the processing of foods whose packaging is developed in Quebec;
  • Mainly market its products in the province of Quebec.
