Overview of the ESSOR - Support for investment projects promoting a reduction in the environmental footprint program:

A repayable contribution A loan guarantee (reimbursement guarantee of no more than 70% on the net loss) A participation A non-refundable contribution The repayable contribution and the loan guarantee are the preferred forms of financial intervention. Management fees (study fees) of at least 0.5% of the amount of financial assistance granted are payable by the company. Annual guarantee fees of at least 0.5% of the guaranteed amount are payable.

  • Reducing pollution in the environment (water-air-soil)
  • Ensuring the sustainability of natural resources
  • Advocating carbon capture and valorization
  • Targeting renewable and clean energies or bioenergy
  • Aimed at the production of new fuels with low carbon impact
  • Applying to transport and mobility
  • Applying to the recycling and recovery of plastic
  • Contributing to the circular economy
  • Preserving and restoring natural environments and biodiversity
  • Reducing resource and energy consumption
  • Reducing the environmental footprint must be the primary objective of this clean technology, and not be an indirect effect.
  • Capitalizable capital expenditures directly linked to the completion of the project and aimed at:
  • The acquisition, construction, development or expansion of buildings
  • The acquisition and implementation of equipment or software
  • Expenses linked to a major technological transition aimed at significantly reducing the environmental footprint
Eligibility criteria of the ESSOR - Support for investment projects promoting a reduction in the environmental footprint program:
  • Your business is eligible if it is a for-profit, cooperative, or social economy enterprise.
  • Eligible sectors of activity
  • All sectors of activity are eligible except the following sectors:
  • Primary sector (agriculture, forestry, and fishing), excluding
  • Cultivation in a greenhouse or in a building having the same purpose as a greenhouse
  • Packaging activities, when it comes to major projects,
  • Logging
  • Mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction
  • Real estate services and rental and leasing services
  • Construction, excluding projects aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of their activities
  • Public services
  • Management of companies and businesses
  • Health care and social assistance
  • Teaching Services
  • Public administration
  • Finance and insurance
  • Arts, entertainment and leisure
  • Telecommunications services
  • Radiotelevision
  • Restoration
  • Other services (except public administration), excluding:
  • Retail and wholesale
  • Of the tourism sector, where only projects related to accommodation services are eligible when they are attached to a tourism project
