Overview of the Greater Sudbury Business Incubator Program program:

The Greater Sudbury Business Incubator Program, managed by the Regional Business Centre, is a comprehensive six-month initiative designed to support early-stage, for-profit businesses in developing, launching, or scaling their operations. The program aims to foster entrepreneurship through a combination of mentorship, structured training, and community engagement. Participants benefit from one-on-one mentoring, curated professional workshops, milestone accountability meetings, and access to an extensive local entrepreneurial network. The incubator fosters collaboration between participants and local partners such as the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, NORCAT, and the City of Greater Sudbury’s Economic Development Division. The program also connects entrepreneurs with government funding opportunities, professional advisors, and potential investors. Participants gain marketing exposure, pitch practice, and access to exclusive discounts through the Centre’s network. Alumni of the incubator can continue to receive mentorship for an additional six months after program completion. The incubator operates on a cohort model, admitting new groups twice per year, each with an intensive curriculum including workshops on marketing, finance, and business development, supplemented by webinars and networking events. This free program is not part of the Visa Start-up Program but serves as a local accelerator for business growth in Northern Ontario.
