Artists in Residence (Education)

This is a partnership program, between school boards and the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), that supports community-engaged artists to work alongside teachers to engage students in creative learning involving creative and critical processes.

  • Educational institutions (Kindergarten to Grade 12) located in Ontario. These can include publicly funded schools or private schools.
  • Additional Criteria:
  • Artists must have at least two years of professional experience.
  • Projects must be student-centered and align with the Ontario curriculum.
  • Artists working in all artistic disciplines (e.g., visual arts, music, dance, theatre, literature, media arts) are eligible.
