Overview of the Prospecting Assistance Grant program:

The program is available to self-employed prospectors and offers two types of grants: the Regular Grant and the Advanced Grant. The Regular Grant provides up to $6,000 to cover standard exploration costs, while the Advanced Grant offers up to $12,000 for more advanced work on mineral licenses held by the applicant. Both grants also provide additional funding for air support up to $6,000 for accessing remote properties. Eligible exploration expenses include geochemical analysis, supplies, fuel, rentals, accommodations, and specialized help. The program’s goal is to support mineral development by enabling local prospectors to conduct comprehensive exploration and contribute to the province’s mining potential.
