The Songwriter Development Program, offered by FACTOR (The Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings), is designed to support Canadian songwriters in the early stages of their careers. This program provides financial assistance to songwriters, enabling them to hone their craft, develop new material, and enhance their career prospects through various professional development activities. It focuses on fostering talent by offering resources that can significantly impact the growth and success of emerging Canadian songwriters. Please note: Rolling deadline. Applications must be submitted at least one calendar day before travel departure.

  • Be in the early stages of their songwriting career.
  • Not have already received substantial public or private funding for their songwriting activities.
