Employers that have or are looking to hire apprentices, this program provides a non-refundable tax credit equal to 10% of the eligible salaries and wages. The maximum amount you can request is up to $2,000 a year for each apprentice.

Eligibility criteria of the Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit (AJCTC) program:
  • To be eligible for this program, the apprentice must:
    • Be working in a prescribed trade in the first two years of their apprenticeship contract.
    • The contract must be registered with a federal, provincial, or territorial government under an apprenticeship program designed to certify or license individuals in the trade.
