Overview of the Black Start-Up Project: BUILD Program program:

The 15-week BUILD program is a virtual program and a unique network of Black founders and business owners who aspire to create a legacy and community impact through their businesses. The program delivers education and workshops tailored to Black entrepreneurs, including live sessions delivered by successful Black leaders, experts and entrepreneurs and dedicated support from our Black Start-Up Services lead. Using a hands-on approach, this program exposes participants to the different domains important in building a viable business: leadership, marketing, business development, finance, human resource and more.

Eligibility criteria of the Black Start-Up Project: BUILD Program program:
  • To be eligible to enter this program, you must:
  • Self-identify as a Black or racialized person
  • Be an early-stage entrepreneur
  • Be based in Atlantic Canada
