Canadian Black-owned small businesses - Cassels

The Cassels 2025 Grant supports Canadian Black-owned small businesses with $10,000 in funding and professional legal guidance to promote economic empowerment and business growth.
Overview of the Canadian Black-owned small businesses - Cassels program:

Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP has launched the Cassels 2025 Grant as part of its ongoing commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Now in its fourth year, this initiative supports Black-owned small businesses in Canada by awarding up to five recipients with a $10,000 grant. The program aims to help recipients scale their business operations, increase sustainability, and access resources that may otherwise be out of reach. In addition to financial support, selected recipients also receive pro bono legal services from Cassels, enhancing their legal and operational foundations. This initiative is part of Cassels' broader efforts to combat systemic barriers and promote inclusivity in Canada’s business landscape. A panel of Cassels representatives and Black business leaders will evaluate applications, ensuring a fair and community-driven selection process. The firm encourages applicants from across industries to apply, with special attention to those demonstrating resilience, growth potential, and a strong community presence.
