Overview of the Mitacs Accelerate program:

Solve your research challenges with academic expertise, leveraged funding, and one-to-one support from Mitacs. Internships start at four months and can scale up as much as you need — your financial contribution starts at $7,500.

  • Get better leveraging for projects with three or more interns and six or more internships
  • Identify new markets, commercialize results, and assess potential employees
Eligibility criteria of the Mitacs Accelerate program:
  • For-profit corporations and eligible not-for-profit corporations, municipalities, and hospitals in Canada
  • For-profit businesses operating outside Canada
  • Under the Accelerate Entrepreneur initiative, eligible intern-owned start-ups at approved incubators. Contact [email protected] to confirm your start-ups eligibility
  • The eligibility of not-for-profit corporations, hospitals, and municipalities as well as the projects economic orientation for these partners must be assessed
