The Department collaborates with community agencies to deliver support and initiatives to help individuals prepare for, attain, and maintain employment, and make the transition to a new job.

Benefits of the Community Partnership Program (Employment) program:
  • Community agencies can avail of funding to design and deliver programs and services that:
  • Address the needs of individuals;
  • Respond to identified labour market needs within the mandate of the Department;
  • Address gaps in current services; and
  • Demonstrate a cost-effective approach.
  • The intended outcome of the Community Partnerships Program is to increase self-reliance for individuals, through successful attachment to employment, education or training.
Eligibility criteria of the Community Partnership Program (Employment) program:
  • To be eligible for funding, programs, and services offered by the agency should demonstrate the
  • Following criteria:
  • Compatibility with the goals and objectives of the Department;
  • Responsiveness to client needs and gaps in current services;
  • Programs and services best delivered by a community agency;
  • Links to other employment and career services;
  • Employment and career competencies;
  • Measurements of success in achieving client outcomes related to preparing, obtaining, and maintaining employment will be assessed;
  • Performance monitoring and logic model for the program targets; and
  • Cost-effectiveness.
  • All not-for-profit organizations that apply for funding shall have Directors Liability Insurance.
