  • Generation Power
Overview of the Indigenous Clean Energy program:

Each year, Generation Power accepts applications from clean energy employers in Canada that can provide supportive, educational, and meaningful work placements for Indigenous youth participants. Youth participants will be invited to select organizations for 4 to 12-month work placement, with 75% of their salary covered, up to $30,000. Participants will be matched with employers based on their interests, qualifications, education, experience, skills, and location.

  • Coaching to facilitate successful youth work placements;
  • Optional workplace equity and cultural training to enhance the ability to attract and retain Indigenous talent across all levels of the organization
Eligibility criteria of the Indigenous Clean Energy program:
  • Do you have an appreciation of ancestral history, legacies, and teachings?
  • Are you committed to reconciliation?
  • Do you have experience or interest in attracting and retaining Indigenous talent (or willingness to learn)?
  • Are you willing to explore and learn about workplace inequities and be open-minded to exploring new ways of engaging Indigenous communities?
  • Are you open to a relationship with ICE and prepared to profile your organization's involvement with GP (internal and external)?
  • You are the right fit for Generation Power if you:
  • Have an appreciation of ancestral history, legacies, and teachings;
  • Have experience or interest in attracting and retaining Indigenous talent;
  • Are willing to explore and learn about workplace inequities and are open-
  • Minded to exploring new ways of engaging Indigenous communities;
