The Chalmers Professional Development Projects is a funding opportunity by the Ontario Arts Council which aims to support Ontario artists in terms of their professional development. The goal is to provide or improve necessary artistic skills to Ontario artists which they can be used in further advancing their career.

Benefits of the Chalmers Professional Development Projects program:
  • The grant will depend on the following guidelines:
    • Artists practicing professionally for 10 years or less: $7,500
    • Artists practicing professionally for 11 years or more: $7,500
Eligibility criteria of the Chalmers Professional Development Projects program:
  • To qualify for this program, please see the following criteria:
  • Professional artists who live in Ontario and who work in one or more of the following arts practices:
    • Dance
    • Literature
    • Media arts
    • Multi and inter-arts
    • Music
    • Theatre
    • Visual arts
