Overview of the Community Grant Program (Prince Albert) program:
The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program (CGP) supports non-profit organizations in Saskatchewan by funding sports, culture, and recreation projects. The program is administered through local governments and aims to ensure equitable access regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, economic status, or physical or mental ability. A portion of the grant must specifically address the needs of target populations, including Indigenous people, seniors, women, economically disadvantaged individuals, persons with disabilities, new Canadians, and single parents.
The goals of this grant program are:
• to provide access to sport, culture, and recreation programs for all Saskatchewan people
regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, economic status, physical, or mental ability;
• to support the development and maintenance of sport, culture, and recreation programs and activities; and,
• to increase the awareness of the benefits of participation in sport, culture, and recreation programs as a way of improving individual health, well-being, and self-fulfillment.

Eligibility criteria of the Community Grant Program (Prince Albert) program:
The following are eligibility criteria that must be met:
Only non-profit organizations are eligible to receive funding.
Expenditures must be directly related to the operation of sport, culture, or
Recreation programs and activities within the City of Prince Albert and the
Majority of the participants must reside within City limits.
An organization may be limited to only one grant during each fiscal year and the maximum amount of funding that can be applied for is $12,000.
Events are eligible but may be referred to the Destination Marketing Fund if
Deemed to be more appropriate by the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department.
Religious organizations may be eligible, providing there is a clear distinction
Between the religious/educational and recreation programs
Schools are eligible to apply by themselves; however, are responsible for a
Minimum 15% financial contribution of their total expenditures. Unless, the applied project is in partnership with another non-profit organization, and/or activities are held after school hours.
