This program offers artists located in the Northwest Territories (NWT) looking to showcase their talent and sell their work to clients outside NWT, covering assistance costs to markets and events, facilitating contact with new clients, and creating new partnerships.

  • This program will help you to:
    • Have the funds to cover assistance, and travel costs to events outside NWT to showcase your work.
    • Create networking opportunities
    • Raise the profile of art and fine craft made in the NWT and increase the demand for these works in the marketplace.
Eligibility criteria of the Artist to Market Program program:
  • To be eligible for this program applicants must:
    • Be in good financial standing with the Government of Northwest Territories;
  • Show that they are residents in the NWT at the time of application
  • Be registered in the NWT Arts Program: https://www.nwtarts.com/join-nwt-arts-program *(This is to show their commitment toward producing art for commercial purposes)*
  • IMPORTANT:
    • A selection committee will evaluate applications according to a published grading rubric.
    • Applicants will be notified in writing if approved within ten (10) days of approval being granted.
    • The application must be approved before beginning the activity. Any expenses incurred before the date of application approval will not be considered.
