Overview of the Community Microgrant Funding program:

The Community Microgrant is intended to foster connections and pride in the community through the funding of gatherings, activities, and celebrations of arts and culture. The grant will fund community events and arts and cultural projects that will bring City of Grande Prairie residents and visitors together. Funding may will also be provided to developing artists to assist in taking them to the next level of development, expression, or performance to enhance the artistic talent within the community.

Benefits of the Community Microgrant Funding program:
  • The Microgrant provides individuals and/or groups with funding up to a maximum amount of $1,500.
Eligibility criteria of the Community Microgrant Funding program:
  • To qualify for this funding, the following criteria must be followed:
  • The grant is available to individuals or non-profit organizations who are based in the City or within a 10-minute drive of City boundaries.
  • Microgrant funding can only be received by a group or individual every other calendar year
  • Applicants must demonstrate that they have the proficiency and means to ensure the event or project is completed to high quality standards
  • All funding received must be used for the sole purpose identified in the application.
