Overview of the Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant program:

Funded by the Government of Alberta, the **Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant (AMPG)** supports small- and medium-sized manufacturers in enhancing their operations, adopting advanced technologies, and boosting competitiveness both within Canada and internationally. The program recognizes that to remain competitive in today’s global economy, manufacturers must maintain world-class operations and embrace advanced manufacturing technologies to drive productivity and efficiency. Addressing productivity challenges is essential to ensuring Alberta’s and Canada’s long-term economic prosperity through a robust and expanding manufacturing sector. According to the CME’s Management Issues Survey, more than half of manufacturers plan to invest in new technologies, though many cite cost as a significant barrier. The AMPG aims to help overcome these financial challenges and enable manufacturers to modernize and grow.

Benefits of the Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant program:
  • Operational Technology Assessments valued at $3,000 will be offered at no cost to participants.
  • AMPG will provide a matching contribution grant of up to $30,000 to support the investment in long-term production assets and technology that increase production capacity.
