Overview of the Canada Music Fund program:
The Canada Music Fund (CMF) ensures that a diversity of Canadian music artists connect with audiences everywhere. The CMF has two components: Individual Initiatives and Collective Initiatives. These components are delivered through the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR) for the Anglophone market and the Foundation Music Action (Musicaction) for the Francophone market.
Benefits of the Canada Music Fund program:
- Assistance in the form of grants by five different components of the fund: Creators Assistance Component, New Musical Works Component, Musical Entrepreneur Component, Collective Initiatives Component, and the Canadian Music Memories Component.
Eligibility criteria of the Canada Music Fund program:
- Eligible recipients include:
- Canadian not-for-profit organizations; and
- Associations or corporations owned and controlled by Canadians.
