Administered by SkillsPEI, the GMP assists employers in providing valuable work experience to unemployed graduates who may lack necessary work experience. The program subsidizes up to 50% of the new employee's wages for a period of 52 weeks, encouraging employers to invest in developing the skills of recent graduates. The goal is for the employee to become fully productive and contribute significantly to the business by the end of the subsidy period.
