This is a repayable loan program with loan limit up to $2,000,000 which can be used by business to start-up or expand their local or indigenous enterprise.

The CEDF Business Loan Program is a repayable loan program by the Communities Economic Development Fund which aims to provide support to various business entities that promote local or indigenous development. With the maximum loan limit of $2,000,000, business owners and enterprise will be provided with an opportunity to produce high-impact economic development activities or projects such as those that are related to mining, farming, commercial fishing, or even strategic infrastructure projects.

Benefits of the CEDF Business Loan Program program:
  • The total repayable loan limit can reach up to $2,000,000 with no minimum given to each qualified business applicants.
Eligibility criteria of the CEDF Business Loan Program program:
  • Any business entity (e.g. corporation, limited partnership, general partnership, individual/sole proprietorship) north of the 21st township.
  • Any Indigenous entity or partnership that promotes and/or enhances Indigenous economic development outside the City of Winnipeg.
