Program Benefits: The SOCAN Foundation’s Professional Development Assistance program provides financial support to music creators, including composers, songwriters, and publishers, to help them enhance their skills and knowledge. This program assists with covering costs related to participating in conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities. By receiving this grant, participants can gain valuable industry insights, network with peers, and develop skills that can help propel their careers in the music industry.

Benefits of the Professional Development Assistance Program program:

• Maximum grant level is limited to $1500.
• These grants may be used to pay registration and/or incidental fees associated with activities such as:
• Conferences;
• Courses;
• Seminars;
• Workshops.

Eligibility criteria of the Professional Development Assistance Program program:

• The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Eligible applicants include composers, songwriters, and music publishers.
• Applicants must be SOCAN members in good standing.
