Overview of the Ontario - Youth Job Connection - SUMMER program:

The Youth Job Connection (YJC) Program, offered by the Government of Ontario, is designed to help young people between the ages of 15 and 29 who face multiple and/or significant barriers to employment. This program provides a range of services and supports to help youth overcome these barriers, gain valuable job skills, and secure long-term employment.

For youth, the program provides paid pre-employment training, job opportunities, mentorship, and ongoing support to ensure success in the workplace. Eligibility criteria of the Ontario - Youth Job Connection - SUMMER program:
  • Age: Youth aged 15 to 29.
  • Location: Must be a resident of Ontario.
  • Employment Status: Currently unemployed or not enrolled in full-time school or training.
  • Barriers to Employment: Facing multiple and/or significant barriers to employment, such as lack of work experience, low education, or other personal challenges.
