Overview of the Early Years Centre Architectural Fee Reimbursement Grant program:

The PEI Early Years Centre Architectural Fee Reimbursement Grant is a financial assistance program offered by the Government of Prince Edward Island to support Early Years Centres (EYCs) in their expansion or improvement projects. This program specifically provides reimbursement for architectural and engineering fees, helping EYCs manage the costs associated with planning and designing facility upgrades or expansions. Please Note: This grant is continuous intake, meaning that the application window will remain open until the program funding is depleted.

Benefits of the Early Years Centre Architectural Fee Reimbursement Grant program:
  • Cost Savings: The grant covers up to 50% of eligible architectural and engineering fees, significantly reducing the financial burden on centres during the planning stages of their expansion or improvement projects.
  • Professional Planning Support: Access to professional architectural and engineering services ensures that expansions or renovations are well-designed and compliant with regulations, leading to better outcomes for both the centre and the children it serves.
  • Enhanced Facility Design: With the help of this grant, centres can invest in high-quality design services, resulting in improved learning environments that meet the needs of children, families, and staff.
  • Financial Flexibility: By offsetting the costs of professional services, centres can allocate more of their budget towards actual construction or renovation activities.
