Eligibility criteria of the BDC Indigenous Entrepreneur Loan program:
  • To be eligible for the BDC Indigenous Entrepreneur Loan Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Indigenous Identity: The applicant must be an Indigenous entrepreneur (First Nations, Metis, or Inuit) based in Canada.
  • Business Ownership: The applicant must own at least 51% of the business.
  • Business Stage: The business has been in operation for more than 24 months.
  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have reached the age of majority in the province or territory.
  • Credit History: Applicants should have a reasonable credit history and demonstrate the ability to repay the loan.
