Each year, CN contributes millions of dollars through the CN Stronger Communities Fund to support initiatives that align with its core values and commitment to building safer, stronger, and more sustainable communities. In 2023, CN contributed over $18.6 million to non-profits that promote people, safety, and the environment.

Eligibility criteria of the CN Stronger Communities Fund program:
  • To qualify for funding, organizations must:
  • Be registered non-profit entities.
  • Align with one or more of CN's community investment focus areas: health and safety, environmental sustainability, diversity and inclusion, innovation, and civic engagement.
  • Operate within the communities served by CN's network across North America.
