Overview of the Creating, Knowing and Sharing: Long-Term Projects Program program:

This component is designed to support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis professional artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives, and arts/culture organizations. It funds projects that integrate various eligible activities under the Creating, Knowing and Sharing program, with a duration exceeding one year and up to three years. The program acknowledges the cultural sovereignty of Indigenous peoples and respects the concepts of self-determination, aiming to stimulate Indigenous artistic practices and communities.

Eligibility criteria of the Creating, Knowing and Sharing: Long-Term Projects Program program:

• Eligible Applicants:
• First Nations, Inuit, and Metis professional artists, cultural carriers, and arts/cultural professionals.
• First Nations, Inuit, and Metis groups, collectives, and arts/culture organizations.
• For-profit organizations that have been in operation for at least two years.
• Not-for-profit organizations not currently receiving core funding.
• Activity Requirements:
• Projects must be led by eligible Indigenous individuals or organizations.
• Activities can include participation or collaboration with non-Indigenous artists.
• Eligible activities encompass creation, knowledge transmission, and sharing initiatives.
