Overview of the Foodtech Next program:

The Food Innovation Challenge (FIC) is designed to assist Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agri-food industry with funding and resources to develop groundbreaking solutions that address significant sector challenges. This programme, managed by the Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN), aims to foster collaboration among industry leaders, academic institutions, and technology providers. Eligible projects must demonstrate innovation, feasibility, and potential impact on the food sector. The challenge encourages projects that enhance productivity, improve food quality, or promote sustainability within the industry. By facilitating partnerships and providing substantial financial backing, the FIC seeks to position Canada as a global leader in food innovation.
