  • SK ARTS
Overview of the Micro-Grant Program program:

The SK Arts Micro-Grant Program is designed to assist Saskatchewan-based artists and arts professionals by providing rapid access to small amounts of funding—up to $1,000—to respond to unexpected or short-notice opportunities. These may include invitations to exhibit, perform, or attend professional development events such as workshops or residencies that arise outside the timelines of regular grant programs. The program’s purpose is to support professional advancement, skill development, and the showcasing of Saskatchewan talent on national and international stages. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with a turnaround time of approximately two weeks, allowing applicants to respond quickly to opportunities. Funding may be used to cover travel, accommodation, per diems, materials, registration fees, or other direct costs associated with the proposed activity. The program aims to foster career growth by enabling flexible responses to time-sensitive opportunities that enhance an artist's or arts professional’s practice and profile. The micro-grants are adjudicated internally by SK Arts staff based on eligibility, clarity of the proposed activity, and its impact on the applicant’s career.

Benefits of the Micro-Grant Program program:
