Prince Edward Island Film Production Fund

The Prince Edward Island Film Production Fund (PEIFPF) provides financial incentives to attract film and television productions to Prince Edward Island (PEI).
  • Government of PEI
Overview of the Prince Edward Island Film Production Fund program:

The PEIFPF supports production companies through rebates on expenditures such as labor, services, and goods sourced within PEI. Eligible productions include new films, TV series, documentaries, and streaming content that have secured a commercial license agreement. The fund covers costs related to pre-production, production, and post-production activities, but does not support development activities. Productions must spend at least $25,000 within PEI and employ local talent wherever possible. Additional bonus rebates apply to productions led by PEI producers or for series-based projects.

Benefits of the Prince Edward Island Film Production Fund program:
  • This fund offers:
  • Financial support to offset production costs.
  • Increased visibility and growth opportunities for PEIs film industry.
  • Job creation and skills training for PEI residents in film and television production.
