Eligible projects should align with the specific revitalization goals of the designated neighbourhoods, focusing on areas such as community safety, beautification, economic development, and social cohesion. Applicants are encouraged to collaborate with local stakeholders and demonstrate how their initiatives will contribute to the overall revitalization strategy of their community.

Eligibility criteria of the Revitalization Project Macro-Grant program:
  • Organizations
  • Businesses
  • Associations
  • Ad Hoc Community Groups and Individuals whose purpose is solely to carry out the specific project with support from an established organization,
  • Association or business can also apply. They must include documentation that an established organization, association or business will act as a fiscal agent (for example, the fiscal agent agrees to accept and be responsible for grant monies on behalf of the applicant)
  • Note: any association or organization applying must have been formally registered within the Province of Alberta for at least a year and should be able to provide at least 1 year's worth of financial statements that follow generally accepted accounting principles if required
