The Accessibility Fund: Project Support provides Ontario-based artists and arts organizations with funding to help reduce accessibility barriers so that Deaf persons and persons with disabilities can actively participate in the arts.

Overview of the Accessibility Fund: Project Support program:

The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Accessibility Fund: Project Support program provides financial assistance to artists and arts organizations to improve accessibility in their projects. This grant is specifically designed to support the inclusion of artists and audiences who face barriers to participating in the arts due to disabilities. The goal of this program is to help foster an inclusive arts community by removing barriers and enhancing access for disabled artists and audiences. Please note: The program is open year-round.

  • Eligibility Requirements:
  • Location: Applicants must be based in Ontario, Canada.
  • Who the Program is For:
    • Ontario-based individual artists, arts organizations, ad-hoc groups/collectives, and arts professionals.
    • Projects aimed at improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities in artistic practices or experiences.
    • Both new projects and projects already in development can apply for funding if accessibility-related costs are added.
  • Other Criteria:
    • The project must involve artists or audiences facing accessibility barriers due to disability.
    • The applicant must meet OACs general eligibility requirements as defined in the OAC guide.
