Overview of the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund program:

The fund invests in early-stage, high-growth technology companies in Ontario. Entrepreneurs passionate about their inventions are the target group the MaRS IAF is looking to invest in.

Benefits of the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund program:

  • Focus on IT, Health and Cleantech, with a minimum addressable market size of $100M.
  • Funding
  • FUNDING
  • We invest at the seed stage, with investments of $500K. We do 10-12 deals per year, but see well over 300 companies.
  • GEOGRAPHY
  • Companies that are headquartered within the Province of Ontario.
  • STAGE
  • Early-stage technology companies that are close to commercialization. Ideally the product has been built, and there is some early market traction. No significant revenue, assets or institutional investment.
