  • Focus on one or more of our fall 2024 intake priorities:
  • Clean economic growth projects that support the greening of the economy, that can contribute to emissions reductions and that create sustainable and green jobs.
  • Growth companies projects that accelerate business development and growth.
  • Technology projects in cutting-edge sectors.
  • Industrial transition projects that support change in traditional sectors to adopt new technologies and other innovations to improve their competitiveness and build new opportunities.
  • Automotive suppliers projects that support firms in the transition to Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV) and contribute to the development of a robust Canadian ZEV supply chain.
Eligibility criteria of the Funding for organizations that help businesses grow in southern Ontario program:
  • Organizational Structure:
  • Incorporated Not-for-Profit Status: Applicants must be incorporated not-for-profit organizations.
  • Legal Capacity: Organizations must be capable of entering into legally binding agreements at the time of application.
  • Geographic Location:
  • Southern Ontario Presence: The organization should be located in southern Ontario and actively support businesses and/or community economic development within this region.
  • Eligible Entities:
  • Collaborative Groups: Consortia of collaborating partners.
  • Business Accelerators and Incubators: Entities that provide support to start-ups and growing businesses.
  • Indigenous Organizations: Not-for-profit organizations representing First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Peoples.
  • Innovation Centres: Facilities that foster innovation and technological advancement.
  • Municipalities and Municipal-Type Organizations: Local government bodies and similar entities.
  • Post-Secondary Institutions: Colleges and universities engaged in economic development activities.
  • Other Not-for-Profit and Community Development Organizations: Entities focused on community economic development.
