The Arts Festivals Grants Program, administered by North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC), provides financial support to large-scale arts festivals that showcase innovative, curated arts programming and celebrate the artistic diversity of North Vancouver and the North Shore.

The Arts Festivals Grants Program aims to support community arts festivals that present unique and artistically curated performances, exhibits, and interactive events. Eligible festivals should highlight both local and visiting talent, encourage community engagement, and contribute to the region’s cultural tourism. This grant program focuses on fostering appreciation for the arts, culture, and heritage through events that provide high-quality, accessible experiences for both residents and visitors. Past funded festivals include the Artists for Conservation Festival, North Shore Jazz Festival, and Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, reflecting the program’s commitment to diverse and inspiring cultural expressions​.

Eligibility criteria of the Celebrations & Events Grant- Arts Festivals program:
  • To qualify:
  • Applicants must have operated as a non-profit or recognized community arts organization on the North Shore for at least one year.
  • Events should primarily be held in North Vancouver or provide clear benefits to North Vancouver residents if located elsewhere on the North Shore.
  • Eligible organizations include non-profit arts groups, multicultural associations, business improvement associations, and community service groups.
