The EmpowHer Tech Launchpad, hosted by YSpace at York University, is a national initiative dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs in the tech sector. The program specifically targets early-stage startups led by women-identifying or non-binary founders and aims to address the gender gap in Canada's technology and innovation space. Over the course of 5 months, selected founders receive comprehensive support including: Weekly workshops focused on lean startup methodology, go-to-market strategy, financial planning, and fundraising Biweekly mentorship meetings with experienced industry professionals Pitch coaching and demo day preparation Networking opportunities with peers, mentors, and investors Access to the YSpace Founder Directory and alumni network The program is completely free and offered virtually, making it accessible to founders across Canada. EmpowHer prioritizes inclusivity and welcomes applications from BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, and other underrepresented entrepreneurs in tech. While the program does not provide direct financial funding, it equips participants with the tools and connections to secure future investment and scale their businesses.
