Overview of the Alberta Digital Traction Program program:

The Alberta Digital Traction Program is a funding initiative by Alberta Innovates designed to help early-stage technology companies in Alberta accelerate their growth and expand into new markets. This program supports digital technology startups that have already achieved initial market traction and are looking to scale their operations. The program provides financial support to help these companies enhance their sales and marketing efforts, build partnerships, and increase their overall market presence.

Benefits of the Alberta Digital Traction Program program:
  • The Program provides support for up to $50,000. Funding is for a maximum one-year project term.
Eligibility criteria of the Alberta Digital Traction Program program:
  • To qualify, the following eligibility must be met:
  • You are an Alberta digital tech company that relies on software development as core to one or more of your products and/or services.
  • You intend to rapidly scale your digital technology in one-to-two years.
  • You have fewer than 50 full-time employees and less than $1,000,000 in annual reoccurring revenue.
  • You have a minimum viable product to test.
  • Your digital technology offers a significant competitive advantage over existing solutions.
  • Be a for-profit Corporation, General Partnership, Limited Partnership or Limited Liability Partnership and registered in Alberta.
  • Companies must be Alberta-based with an Alberta footprint, which includes a significant physical and corporate operations in Alberta; appropriate Alberta ownership; and discernible intent that operational benefits will flow primarily within the Province of Alberta.
