The Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) is a federal initiative designed to assist communities across Canada in building and enhancing community infrastructure projects, facilitating recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overview of the Canada Community Revitalization Fund program:

Revitalize Downtown Cores and Main Streets: Enhancing the vibrancy and economic activity of central community areas. Reinvent Outdoor Spaces: Developing or improving outdoor facilities to encourage public engagement. Create Green Infrastructure: Investing in environmentally sustainable community projects. Increase Accessibility of Community Spaces: Ensuring public areas are accessible to all community members. Eligible projects include improvements to farmers' markets, community and cultural centers, museums, libraries, public outdoor sports facilities, waterfront and tourism facilities, and multi-purpose centers. Priority is given to projects that are shovel-ready, leverage additional funding, are smaller in scope for quick completion, and demonstrate measurable socio-economic benefits.

  • Indigenous-led not-for-profits and organizations.
  • Other existing community facilities for public benefit that have a local community impact and underpin local economies
  • Ineligible Applicants:
  • Individuals, businesses, and provincial or territorial governments.
  • Project Criteria:
  • Aligns with one of the fund's priorities.
  • Demonstrates readiness and potential for timely completion.
  • Shows measurable socio-economic benefits.
