This program supports the development of skills for persons at risk of losing their job and also maintains expertise in organizations.

Overview of the Workforce Training Measure program:

This program supports employee skills development through financial and technical assistance for private and not-for-profit companies in Quebec, excluding public and political entities. It finances training in new technologies, literacy and more, covering the costs of trainers and teaching materials.

Benefits of the Workforce Training Measure program:
  • The employment assistance available under the Workforce Training Measure is:
  • $475 a week for qualifying training programs
  • $370 a week for general education
  • The financial assistance you receive will depend on your situation and will be determined when you register.
Eligibility criteria of the Workforce Training Measure program:
  • To qualify, the following criteria must be met:
  • You are at least 16 years old
  • You stopped going to school full-time for at least 24 months, except under certain circumstances mentioned at your evaluation
  • You meet the training programs eligibility criteria
  • Your eligibility will also depend on an assessment of your situation, which will be conducted based on other eligibility criteria specific to the Measure.
  • Lack of training must be a significant barrier to getting a job.
