DAIR Cloud

  • CANARIE
Overview of the DAIR Cloud program:

The DAIR (Digital Accelerator for Innovation and Research) Program, offered by CANARIE, provides a valuable opportunity for Canadian entrepreneurs and startups to accelerate the development of their commercial products or services by offering cloud resources through Amazon Web Services (AWS). This program is designed to help early-stage companies reduce the cost and complexity of accessing cloud infrastructure, enabling them to focus on innovation and growth. Please note: Currently there is a wait period of 2-3 months to be onboarded to the program after acceptance.

Benefits of the DAIR Cloud program:
  • AWS Cloud Resources: Participants receive an AWS account with up to $1,000 per month in credits for AWS services, enabling them to build, test, and scale their products.
  • Cost Savings: The program reduces the financial burden on startups by providing substantial cloud resources at no cost, allowing them to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure costs.
  • Flexibility and Scalability: The cloud resources offered through the DAIR program can be scaled according to the startup's needs, providing the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements as the product evolves.
  • Networking and Support: By participating in the DAIR program, companies can join a network of innovative Canadian startups, offering potential collaboration and mentorship opportunities.
Eligibility criteria of the DAIR Cloud program:
  • To be eligible for the DAIR Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Location: The entrepreneur or startup must be based in Canada.
  • Commercial Focus: The company must be developing a commercial product or service, or working on an idea intended for commercialization.
  • Size: The company must employ fewer than 500 employees.
