Overview of the Innovation Grant program:

The SHRF Solutions Program aims to support collaborative research that creates real, lasting impacts on Saskatchewan's health needs. We aim to develop and implement innovations that address pressing health challenges. Focus Areas: Your project must tackle one or more of the health challenges identified for the competition year. Teamwork: We support interdisciplinary teams, including knowledge users, to address these focus areas.

Eligibility criteria of the Innovation Grant program:
  • To be eligible, your team must meet the following requirements:
  • Collaborative Team: Your research team should be collaborative and focused on making a difference in Saskatchewan.
  • Minimum Team Members: At least three team members based in Saskatchewan:
  • One Principal Applicant who meets eligibility requirements
  • A second researcher from a different discipline
  • A knowledge-user with practical insights on applying the research
  • Application Process: Each team member must accept an invitation via the RMS before the application deadline.
  • Additional Considerations:
  • Follow any extra team requirements for the focus area
  • Include people with relevant personal experiences
  • You can add more team members from within or outside Saskatchewan
  • Ensure all team members have clear roles and relevant expertise
  • Include both early career and experienced researchers, with trainees if suitable
  • Involve supporters like health system decision-makers, community leaders, and industry partners as needed
  • This program encourages building strong, diverse teams to address health challenges effectively.
