  • BC Hydro
Overview of the Self-serve incentives program:

BC Hydro’s Self-serve Incentive Program (SIP) is designed to support businesses in implementing energy-efficient upgrades that reduce electricity consumption. This program offers financial incentives to offset the costs of energy-saving projects, making it easier for companies to improve their sustainability while lowering operational expenses. The SIP is ideal for businesses looking to upgrade equipment, such as lighting, HVAC systems, and other energy-intensive appliances.

Benefits of the Self-serve incentives program:
  • Financial Incentives: Receive up to 50% of the project costs, depending on the type of upgrade, with a maximum of $200,000 per project.
  • Energy Savings: Reduce energy consumption, leading to lower electricity bills and improved environmental impact.
  • Simplified Process: The self-serve aspect of the program allows businesses to quickly and easily submit applications and receive incentives.
  • Support and Guidance: Access to BC Hydros expertise to help identify and implement the most effective energy-saving measures.
Eligibility criteria of the Self-serve incentives program:
  • Your facility uses over 500 megawatt-hours of electricity per year.
  • Eligible technologies include:
  • Compressed air systems between 40 and 300 horsepower; and/or
  • Industrial lighting
  • If you have larger systems or other efficiency opportunities, talk to your Key Account Manager or Regional Energy Manager about other offers and incentives.
