  • New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture
Overview of the Film - Promotional Travel Assistance program:

The Promotional Travel Assistance Program, administered by the Government of New Brunswick’s Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, is intended to support the province’s artists, creators, and cultural organizations by subsidizing eligible travel expenses. The goal of the program is to increase the national and international exposure of New Brunswick’s cultural productions and creative professionals. This funding supports promotional travel for performances, exhibitions, presentations, or professional events that occur outside of New Brunswick. Eligible activities include attending festivals, trade shows, gallery openings, book tours, concerts, and professional meetings that contribute to expanding the artist’s career or visibility. Applicants must show that their participation is by invitation, juried selection, or confirmed booking, and demonstrate how the opportunity contributes to their promotional development. Travel to destinations within Canada and internationally is eligible, and funding is intended to reduce the financial burden of transportation and accommodations. This program reflects the government’s commitment to fostering artistic excellence and enabling New Brunswick creators to participate in important cultural networks. The initiative helps artists build audiences, connect with industry professionals, and open new markets for their work. Funding is awarded based on the quality and significance of the opportunity, as well as the applicant’s career stage and potential for impact.
